Two people built on similar values with different cultures found comfort in the vision they have for their future.

Through the pressure of distance, lifestyle, and schedule they formed a bond beyond marriage. Yet, starting a family is what had to be anchored.

“I’m still surprised that I pulled it off! I would tell Val that I was going to New York for business trips but instead my brother and I drove multiple times there to find the perfect cut of diamond that I envisioned her in. The support of my brother was exactly what I needed. I knew I had to have him and his wife at the proposal. It was very important for me to ask Val’s dad for permission to marry his only daughter. I got my blessings, and off we went.

This whole time Val was clueless and I was eager to go on this trip and propose. The rose petals, private menu, set in Pablo Escobars old house, the four of us still reminisce on the amazing time we had.”

“I always knew Vaz was going to be by my side, so the commotion of a proposal for me was very modest. So when Vaz proposed in Tulum, Mexico, it truly was a surprise to me! I did not know there was so much planning going on behind my back (because I always know everything), yet I was so so happy when I saw him standing on one knee with a huge nervous smile on his face.

I will never forget the atmosphere that day, the romantic setting and our closest people sharing the moment with us. I was told we are going on a vacation, as a graduation present. Such a big milestone, that I did not even think such a grand gesture was coming. I couldn’t get the smile off of my face for the next few months after the proposal. This was the most at ease and happy I have ever felt in my life.”
